The Star Wars: The Force Awakens world premiere takes place in Los Angeles this evening, and if you’re planning on avoiding spoilers before the movie is released on Thursday at midnight, you’d best start shutting down your social media accounts now. Thankfully, the 60 Minutes report on the film, which we’ve got for you above, is completely spoiler-free and makes for a very interesting and revealing look at the new Star Wars movie.
As well as getting to hear the music from John Williams which opens Star Wars: The Force Awakens, director J.J. Abrams sheds some light on his approach to making a follow-up to Return of the Jedi and talks about why it was important to him while casting the movie to make it representative of the world we see around us today (hence why it’s the most diverse Star Wars movie to date).
