Marvel Releases Iron Man’s Tragic Extended Death Scene In HD

Get those tissues ready. We've uploaded a clip Iron Man's tragic death from Avengers: Endgame in full HD, along with a deleted scene.

Just a couple of weeks after dethroning Avatar as the highest-grossing movie of all time, Marvel Studios has released Avengers: Endgame on a handful of digital platforms, which means that you won’t have to run out to your local theater to experience the end of the Infinity Saga once more.

Granted, those who prefer physical copies (or higher quality video files) would do best to wait until August 13th, which is when the Blu-Ray and Ultra HD versions are due out on store shelves. In the meantime, the digital version seems to be doing quite well in its own right. Aside from the standard theatrical cut, this home release comes with a handful of featurettes and deleted scenes; a nice pack-in for those who’ve already seen Endgame plenty of times and are itching for something new to experience.

If you haven’t watched any of the deleted scenes yet, you can check out our compilation of them over here. We’re not entirely sure what our favorite one is just yet, but we’re quite certain which is the saddest. That distinction goes to the moment after Iron Man’s tragic death at the film’s climax, which can be seen above and shows us what happens following his sacrifice to ensure the destruction of Thanos and his Chitauri army.

After Tony passes, every Avenger and other superhero involved in the film’s final battle gets down on one knee to honor the fallen soldier. During this time, Gamora (or at least, the alternate reality version of her) slips away unnoticed, setting up a storyline which is bound to unfold in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

If you’re itching to give Avengers: Endgame another go, be sure to pick up your own digital copy today. If you’re anything like me though and prefer the highest quality video possible, be sure to hold out until August 13th, when it will be released on standard and UHD Blu-Ray.
