Watch Josh Brolin Sing Happy Birthday To Chris Hemsworth

It’s not every day we get to see the lighter side of villainy, but thankfully, the Marvel Cinematic Universe recently provided us with some footage of the Mad Titan himself, Josh Brolin, having a little fun on the set of Avengers: Infinity War. And now, as if that wasn't enough, we have some documented proof of the Academy Award nominee’s vocal range.

For those of you who don’t know, yesterday was the birthday of none other than Thor, aka Chris Hemsworth, and to celebrate the occasion, Brolin decided to sing the Australia native a song. Now, I wasn’t aware that Josh could sing and, well, apparently he cannot.

The roughly thirty-second serenade below’s a playful rendition of your typical natal day number, and although I appreciate the sentiment, I’m confident you’ll only be wanting to view this clip once, as it is, truthfully speaking, entirely and utterly cringe-worthy.

Taking into consideration the downright awful divertimento of Brolin, Hemsworth isn’t exactly having himself a pleasurable birthday weekend. Just the other day, the actor, alongside Wonder Woman 1984 star Chris Pine, reportedly dropped out of Star Trek 4 simply because Paramount won’t pay them enough to go boldly where no man’s gone before.

Granted, Pine and Hemsworth are amongst some of the most in-demand talent in the biz right now. That said, seeing as Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and John Cho are expected to be aboard the Enterprise for the crew’s next space-set adventure, we think they should just suck it up and bite the bullet.

As for Brolin and his off-screen tomfoolery, don’t expect to see too much of that in the foreseeable future. After all, Avengers 4 is headed for pick-ups this fall, so you can anticipate the usual radio silence from Marvel and company, at least until the marketing campaign for the fourth supergroup installment begins to ramp up.
