The marketing campaign for Ridley Scott’s The Counselor is heating up and as it stands, it has become one of my most anticipated films for the remainder of the year. The star-studded crime flick boasts a script from Cormac McCarthy and has a line-up of talent that includes names like Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and more.
If you haven’t been keeping up, The Counselor follows Fassbender’s character, a lawyer who is looking for some quick money after proposing to his girlfriend (Penelope Cruz). He eventually comes into contact with a man named Reiner (Javier Bardem), who has strong criminal ties and offers him a drug trafficking job. Of course, this leads to further complications and the story evolves from there.
These three clips are each quite short but serve as a perfect tease for tomorrow’s new full-length trailer, which we’ll have for you as soon as it goes live. Each clip shows off Fassbender with one of his co-stars (Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz) and though not a whole lot is revealed, the footage still does enough to get us excited for the extended look that we’ll be receiving shortly.
