If only this were really hitting theaters!

A trailer for what looks like a stellar Harry Potter documentary, When Harry Left Hogwarts, was released today. While it won’t be making its way into theatres, the documentary will be released with the DVD and Blu-Ray of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II.

Director Morgan Matthews was given exclusive access to the Deathly Hallows set, which is what I think will set this film apart from Potter’s other DVD special features, which I admit are always a little lackluster.

This documentary actually seems like it was tailored perfectly for die-hard Potter fans. The trailer starts with the filmmakers asking Helena Bonham-Carter, Jason Isaacs and Gary Oldman what they think the documentary should be about (make sure you watch just for Oldman’s reaction).

All in all this documentary should give us a truly interesting look behind the scenes of the film phenomenon, and the beloved actors behind it.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II hits shelves November 11.

Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think.
