WGTC Radio #46 – Celebrating Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

With the wretchedly titled Star Trek Into Darkness hitting theatres next week, we decided to take a look back at the first – and best – Star Trek sequel of them all: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. This is one of our favorite movies of all time, Star Trek or no, so just what is it that makes this seminal masterpiece so successful? Why is it such a high benchmark other Trek films have had difficulty living up to? We talk all this and more, in addition to hearing Sean’s take on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Jonathan’s on The Great Gatsby film adaptation.

And for Doctor Who fans, the show concludes with our usual review and analysis of the latest episode, featuring the return of writer Neil Gaiman to the show. “Nightmare in Silver” might well be our favorite installment of the season, so we have plenty to say on this exciting episode!

In any case, this is another busy week, and next week may require two or three podcasts. Follow me on Twitter (@JonathanLack) for updates on our upcoming podcasting schedule.

Enjoy!
