Here is how you can watch 'The Prince of Egypt.'

The Prince of Egypt is one of Dreamworks’ best animated films of all time. The movie was a retelling of Moses’ story from the Bible, chronicling how he was adopted by the Egyptian royal family after he was found by the river as a newborn infant. Once Moses grew up, he later learned that he was actually Hebrew and was soon chosen by God to “let his people go” and leave Egypt.

If you’re considering whether The Prince of Egypt is worth watching, official clips from the film, such as music videos for some of the songs, are available to be viewed on YouTube. Perhaps those short videos could convince you whether this film is worth watching.

Unfortunately, don’t expect it to be on Netflix despite the streaming service having a plethora of Dreamworks content like the Madagascar franchise, Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, etc. Instead, if you want to watch this animated recreation of the Moses story, it is available to be streamed on Peacock and Roku. Peacock announced on Twitter recently that the film is accessible to that streaming service so feel free to relive this Biblical moment.

For international viewers, The Prince of Egypt is able to be purchased digitally online. Sites like Amazon, Apple TV, and the Google Play store will allow interested viewers to buy or rent this Dreamworks film for $9.99 or $3.99. Netflix hasn’t announced if Dreamworks will bring this film to its streaming platform and it wasn’t listed for shows and films arriving on the platform for April 2023.

The Prince of Egypt received an average score of 79 percent from critics and 90 percent from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. The film also managed to earn around $14 million at the box office during its domestic opening and over $218 million worldwide. Let’s not forget the number of memes the film generated on the internet. The movie may be old, but it’s still iconic according to some fans online. So it comes as no surprise that Peacock is bringing this Dreamworks film onto its streaming platform while it’s still available to purchase online.
