Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has hit cinemas, with the odyssey through the many different universes coming with as many surprises for viewers. With returning cast members from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe properties, it can be hard to keep track of everything.

But who does The Office’s own, John Krasinski, play in the Multiverse of Madness?

Who does John Krasinski play in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

John Krasinski has made his Marvel Cinematic Universe, with him appearing as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, leader of the Fantastic Four. It’s the first appearance of the Fantastic Four in a film since the ill-fated 2014 adaptation which saw Miles Teller play the character.

Mister Fantastic is one of the members of a different universe’s Illuminati, joining the likes of Captain Carter, Professor X, Black Bolt, and Baron Mordo. This version of Reed Richards has said he’s a father and is married, which possibly means Sue Storm also exists in the Marvel multiverse. His son is likely Franklin Richards, who later causes incursions in the multiverse in Marvel Comics. In comics, Reed also has a daughter named Valeria, who later becomes the hero Brainstorm.

Reed Richards from Earth-838 dies at the hands of Wanda Maximoff, but due to the magic of multiverse shenanigans, he could very well still exist in Earth 616.

Krasinski playing Mister Fantastic comes as a shock, with him fan-casted for years to play the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of the Fantastic Four co-anchor.
