While the snippets we’ve seen of the upcoming Blumhouse horror flick we’ve seen so far certainly do look promising, and it appears that the production house is doing the source material some solid justice at first glance. Of course, devout Five Nights at Freddy’s fans may still be curious as to who exactly took a seat in the director’s chair and was entrusted with the reins to their favorite and expansive horror franchise.

So – while it still may be a few more months before we’re able to see the whole movie, in the meantime, let’s find out a little more about who the shot caller was on the set of the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie.

The person in the director’s chair (and co-writer) on the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is none other than Emma Tammi. While Tammi doesn’t have quite the star-power and directing credits to her name like other iconic horror directors such as James Wan  Jordan Peele, or Mike Flanagan, she has proven herself to be more than capable of executing a solid horror flick by way of 2018’s The Wind, which as of writing, sits at a 81 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes

Hollywood was evidently impressed with Tammi’s work on the film, as she went on to direct two episodes of the television horror anthology Into the Dark. Before her foray into the horror genre,  Emma Tammi directed a pair of documentaries – Fair Chase, and Election Day: Lens Across America.
