Will Smith Shares First Official Look At Bad Boys For Life

Taking to Instagram today, Will Smith has shared the first official look at upcoming threequel Bad Boys For Life, which will see him and Martin Lawrence reprise their fan favorite roles.

Detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are all ready for their big comeback, so batten down the hatches and prepare for another helping of testosterone-fueled action. Except, without the Bayhem, of course.

In the director’s chairs for this latest outing are franchise newcomers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who kicked off production on the blockbuster threequel Bad Boys For Life earlier this month. Excitement is already pretty high, too, what with action fans eagerly awaiting the moment when Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reunite on the big screen.

And with just under a year to go now until the film releases, we’re starting to get a few brief glimpses at what to expect. For instance, Will Smith has taken to Instagram today to share the first official look at himself and Martin Lawrence in character as the aforementioned Detectives, all ready to head off on a new crime-fighting adventure and bring us what’ll presumably be another wild, action-packed ride.

While there’s not really anything in the way of plot details that can be taken from what Smith shared above, it’s still nice to finally get a proper look at the actors back in their roles. And from what we understand, Bad Boys For Life will kick off at a time when Lowrey and Burnett are no longer partners – one’s still working for the Miami narcotics department, but the other’s trying his hand at being a private investigator. As fate would have it, though, they soon find themselves having to bury the hatchet after the sins from the past come back to haunt them.

For more, you can check out an early plot synopsis below, which paints a better picture of what to expect:

The new installment centers on the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Scipio), head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched by his mother to kill Mike (Smith).

Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do? What you gonna do when Bad Boys For Life reaches cinemas on January 17th, 2020? We’ll leave that one to you…
