A Riot Breaks Out In New Wonder Woman 1984 Set Video

A new Wonder Woman 1984 set video has surfaced which shows Diana and Steve in the midst of what looks to be a riot. See for yourself!

You try and inconspicuously film a massive daylight riot in the USA’s capital city and before you know it, it’s all over the internet for everyone to see. Is nothing private these days? Certainly not when it comes to Wonder Woman 1984.

Apparently depicting a clash between the Navy Memorial and the National Archives in Washington, D.C., this footage captures what went down on set. We see the camera crew track Diana and Steve throughout the crowd, presumably as they try to steer clear of everything that’s kicking off. But don’t just take my word for it – have a look at the footage for yourself below:

What the cause of the riot is is unclear at the moment, although we can’t help but think of the back end of The Dark Knight Rises, where if you take your eyes off Batman and Bane et al., then you’ll see the extras, softly jostling for position and chanting half-heartedly. But we digress.

Although set photos are coming in thick and fast, there’s little to go on in regards the plot of the Wonder Woman sequel. Whereas the first film dealt with the otherwordly Ares causing chaos on earth, this movie has more of a realistic feel to it at the moment, and the Washington, D.C. setting suggests a political, more human element.

Throw in the possibility that the 1984 aspect of the title may well refer to the dystopian George Orwell novel where citizens are more-or-less imprisoned, are controlled by Thought Police and have their lives monitored, and the film seems to be more enticing than we originally thought.

Wonder Woman 1984 works its way into theaters on November 1st, 2019.
