X-Men: Apocalypse Officially Wraps Production

It must be Hollywood blockbuster wrap week! Following the news that Marvel's Captain America: Civil War and Roland Emmerich's Independence Day: Resurgence have finished up production, director Bryan Singer has officially announced that the cameras have stopped rolling on the main unit of X-Men: Apocalypse. Apparently, the second unit will continue to film until September 4th, but for most of the cast and crew, it was wrap party time.

It must be Hollywood blockbuster wrap week! Following the news that Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War and Roland Emmerich’s Independence Day: Resurgence have finished up production, director Bryan Singer has officially announced that the cameras have stopped rolling on the main unit of X-Men: Apocalypse. Apparently, the second unit will continue to film until September 4th, but for most of the cast and crew, it was wrap party time.

This weekend, Singer posted what will likely be his final behind-the-scenes Instagram snap, which you can see below. What’s being shot on the monitors is difficult to make out, but it looks like that might be Rose Byrne (Moira McTaggert) standing on the stairway of the X-Mansion.

You can also check out some pics from the party at the link below, with the likes of Singer, James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Josh Helman (William Striker), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), and Ben Hardy (Angel) all having a rare old time. There were some very tasty sounding X-themed cocktails, too.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
