Dead Reckoning Part One is set to pit Ethan (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team against their most dangerous mission – save the world from a deadly weapon of mass destruction. But new threats and an all-powerful enemy are not the only hurdles in their way as Ethan’s past comes roaring back to plague his already dire existence and the ones he loves.

The last time we saw everyone’s favorite IMF agent, Ethan Hunt, he had barely made it out alive in a face-off against yet another enemy — once again establishing beyond any doubt that there is no one like him. Fans had been eagerly waiting to see Tom Cruise back on the scene, once again doing his death-defying stunts as the fictional espionage expert. Thankfully, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, which has been plagued with major delays for two years, is finally breaking the curse and has debuted its action-packed trailer.

In director Christopher McQuarrie’s words, the sequel is a follow-up that “swallows the rest of the franchise whole. There’s just not another way to do it.” If the clip of the cliff stunt performed by Cruise, which left fans awestruck as he only had six seconds to open his parachute before he hit the ground, didn’t convince fans that they are in for one rollercoaster ride, the full trailer ensures that it leaves no stones unturned.

Apart from Cruise as Hunt, the sequel is set to play host to returning actors like Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny, and Vanessa Kirby.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be released on July 12, 2023, followed by Part Two on June 28, 2024.
