Who’s involved? An ensemble cast lead this David Ayer film, including Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Karen Fukuhara, Joel Kinnaman, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jay Hernandez and Viola Davis. Oh, and expect Ben Affleck in a cameo.
[zergpaid]What’s it about? Government agent Amanda Waller brings together several super-criminals to complete dangerous missions – in other words, a suicide squad. When your team includes the likes of an expert marksman, the Joker’s girlfriend, a cannibal crocodile-man and a witch, what could go wrong?
Verdict: This was many people’s most anticipated DC movie of the year, even before BvS. Going by the trailers, Suicide Squad looks set to have a bunch of fun characters, an infectious blackly comic tone and a confidence in its own craziness. Warning bells were rung when it was announced there would be some late-in-the-day reshoots, but hopefully the movie will live up to our high hopes.
