Zac Efron Is Ted Bundy In BTS Pics From Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile

Normally, I'd think that Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile would be how most conservative folk would describe the music I listen to - and it probably is - but that long-winded title has actually been claimed by the latest film in a decently long line to tell the story of one Ted Bundy.

Normally, I’d think that Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile would be how most conservative folk would describe the music I listen to – and it probably is – but that long-winded title has actually been claimed by the latest film in a decently long line to tell the story of Ted Bundy.

Remembered as being one of America’s most infamous serial killers, Bundy confessed to murdering 30 people in seven states between the years of 1974 and 1978. To date, such notable actors like Mark Harmon, Michael Reilly Burke, Billy Campbell, Cary Elwes, Corin Nemec and James Marsters have been tasked with playing him, and now, Zac Efron is the latest to join the club.

Being in stark contrast to his High School Musical days, we see this project as giving him a chance to flex his acting muscles. Plus, there has to be a certain amount of research and preparation one must put in whenever embodying a non-fictional character.

Not too long ago, Efron himself shared a behind-the-scenes look at the film on his Instagram page and, to the delight of those following production, he’s back with a few more (seen below). In this case, we have two offerings to feast on. In the first image, he’s bearing more than a passing resemblance to a young David Hasselhoff, smiling between takes. And in the second, he’s kicking back in a 1968 Volkswagen Beetle, a car similar to what Bundy himself drove.

Described as being in the vein of Nightcrawler and The Jinx, there will also be a meaty female role in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, as the story will actually be told through the perspective of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer – who eventually turned him into the police. She’ll be played by Lily Collins and joining them is John Malkovich, portraying Judge Edward Cowart.

We’ll be bringing you more on Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile as it continues to carry on through its production, but in the meantime, tell us, are you excited to see Zac Efron shifting gears here to play Ted Bundy? Let us know in the usual place.
