Zachary Levi Weighs In On Possible Return In Thor: Ragnarok

As of right now, very little is known about what's to come in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok. While Chris Hemsworth is obviously set to reprise the role of the God of Thunder, plot details are scarce, with some claiming that things will be taking a cosmic twist as Thanos sets his sights on the Infinity Stones currently being stored in Asgard.

As of right now, very little is known about what’s to come in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. While Chris Hemsworth is obviously set to reprise the role of the God of Thunder, plot details are scarce, with some claiming that things will be taking a cosmic twist as Thanos sets his sights on the Infinity Stones currently being stored in Asgard.

That remains to be seen of course, but one person just as in the dark about Thor: Ragnarok as we are is actor Zachary Levi. He plays Fandral in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the Heroes Reborn star had this to say when asked whether he’s heard from Marvel Studios about returning for the next instalment in the franchise.

“No, not at all. As far as I know, they are still writing the script. Once that’s all buttoned down, I’m sure they will be making the phone call to whatever actors are involved. I hope I’m involved. I’d love to reprise Fandral. That was a fun experience, getting to be blonde, Asgardian and sounding British. I think shooting in Australia would be a hoot. The weather is certainly more conducive to happiness than when we were shooting in London, which is a great city, but pretty dreary.”

With Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk set to take on a leading role in Thor: Ragnarok (not to mention the return of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki), it’s hard to imagine supporting characters like The Warriors Three playing too significant a part in proceedings. However, Marvel will surely find a way to give them at least a few minutes of screentime – as they did in Thor: The Dark World – even if it isn’t as much as some fans would like.

If anyone is deserving of a more significant role in Thor: Ragnarok, it’s arguably Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif, but with the actress now starring in NBC’s Blindspot, chances are she’ll be too busy to do too much here. Alas, for now, we’re all just going to have to wait and see.
