Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ becomes the latest movie to vanish from streaming without warning, which goes down as well as expected

You'll never guess who got named as the number one suspect.

It was only the other day when the latest chapter in the never-ending SnyderVerse conspiracy was written, with supporters up in arms that the first full-length trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League had been removed from Max’s official YouTube channel despite being its most-watched video.

Of course, nobody cared to mention that the second full-length promo and a behind the scenes featurette remained exactly where they were, although none of the die-hard fanatics bought into Warner Bros.’ “music licensing issue” response for a second.

However, even more gasoline has been poured onto the raging fire after the Snyder Cut became the latest high-profile title to completely disappear from streaming without a word of warning. At the time of writing, only Max subscribers in Europe have been robbed of the chance to revisit the four-hour DCU epic, but outrage is already sweeping the internet in fear that customers in the United States could be next.

As expected, James Gunn gets pinpointed as the number one suspect as tends to be the case whenever anything happens to the SnyderVerse its most vociferous backers don’t agree with, but WB has yet to offer an official explanation as to why Justice League V2.0’s reach has been substantially reduced without any advance warning.

It’s merely the latest wrinkle in a story that’s been penning new pages for almost six years at this point, but you can only imagine what the reaction would be if the Snyder Cut does end up being exiled from Max’s library in its biggest market.
