Amsterdam Dance Event is the Netherlands’ answer to electronic music conferences like International Music Summit and Winter Music Conference, so the lineups for the numerous parties it consists of can give you an idea of where the industry is headed. And, as with other 2016 festivals, house and techno have seen increased presence on the event rosters.
In addition to obligatory mainstagers like Hardwell and Martin Garrix, artists such as Maya Jane Coles, Nicole Moudaber, Richie Hawtin and Joris Voorn have been confirmed for various Amsterdam Dance Event parties. Aside from performers, a number of speakers will make appearances over the course of the weekend as well – including Kickstarter’s head of music Molly Neuman and Def Jam CEO Steve Bartel.
Amsterdam Dance Event will take place from October 19th-23rd at over a hundred locations throughout the city. Additional artists will be announced in the months leading up to those dates, and all updates to the roster as well as any additional information can be found on the event website.
