Australian pop singer/songwriter Betty Who is gearing up to finally release a brand new single. Following up her one-off cover of “I Love You Always Forever,” the fresh track, titled “Human Touch,” is expected to be the first taste of a new album due out next year.

Her last record, Take Me When You Go, only released two years ago, but the need for new Who was strong. Despite being in the studio working on new music for a while, there was a bit of disappointment when the first new song that dropped was the aforementioned cover – a take on the 1996 Donna Lewis classic. Though the cover was fine in its own right, fans and the mainstream alike were itching for something original, and now, “Human Touch” is going to give that to them.

There’s no word on what the song is expected to sound like, but it’ll arrive on November 11th and actually get its live debut this weekend when she plays some more shows in her home country. Though we don’t know much about “Human Touch,” we do know a bit about what went into the making of the new record, as Who says there’s a song on the album that’s “an ode to 1999 Britney Spears.” She also says that a majority was produced and written with Peter Thomas – the same writer who worked on a lot of Take Me When You Go – so chances are, if you liked the last record, you’ll find something to love about whatever Betty Who comes out with next.
