Calvin Harris Confirms That His New Album Is Due Out This Year

With his last album, 18 Months, having been released back in October of 2012, I suppose it just a matter of time now before we heard news of another studio album from Mr. Calvin Harris. After all, 18 Months reached #1 in the UK and sold a whopping 650,000 copies. That, coupled with the fact that the DJ has absolutely exploded in popularity and fame over the last year or two means that the time is ripe to put out another disc.

Though details are still scarce, Calvin took to Twitter this week to confirm that yes, he definitely has a new album coming out and yes, it will release before the end of the year. Check out the exchange below:

So, we’re still without a release date, but given that it will be out in 2014, that means the album needs to drop at some point within the next three months. I’d imagine it would be sooner rather than later, too. Or at least, I hope that’s the case.

As for songs, you can expect Blame and Summer to find their way onto the disc, but aside from that, we really have no idea what the Scottish DJ may have in store for us.

Tell us, are you excited for more music from Calvin Harris? Sound off in the comments section below, and stay tuned as we’ll be sure to bring you more details on the album as they arise.
