Calvin Harris Drops New Single “Hype” With Dizzee Rascal

Though his love life may have hit a few snags over the last couple of weeks, Scottish producer Calvin Harris has returned today to drop a new single, teaming up with UK rapper and previous collaborator Dizzee Rascal on "Hype." The new song is just the latest in his continued conquest of pop music, following up on the release of the official music video last week for his hit with Rihanna on "This Is What You Came For."

“Hype” is a dizzying house cut, opening with rapid fire rap verses from Rascal set alongside a chilled out bell sound. The track then explodes into upbeat drops, featuring four on the floor rhythms and a rowdy synth siren that squeaks and squeals along a bouncy bassline.

All in all, it’s a high energy track with plenty of appeal for the dance crowds, and we expect that Calvin Harris‘ latest offering will indeed live up to its namesake this summer.
