The Chainsmokers have been dominating both the dance and mainstream music scenes over the last year. After unveiling their new radio friendly sound on hits like “Roses” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” the DJ duo have proven an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. Their latest effort, a collaboration with pop vocalist Halsey titled “Closer,” has only continued this trend.

During a performance at Madison Square Garden on August 13, Halsey brought out The Chainsmokers as surprise guests to perform their recent collaborative single. The EDM duo deliver a rendition of the song that features live drums and guitars, while Andrew Taggart delivers his half of the duet based vocal number alongside Halsey. Fans go wild as soon as The Chainsmokers are brought out on stage, resulting in a memorable performance of “Closer.”

Suffice it to say, The Chainsmokers and Halsey have as much chemistry on stage as they do in the studio, and we wouldn’t mind seeing the two acts team up on a tour at some point in the future.
