David Guetta And The Black Eyed Peas Premiere This Is Awesome At Coachella

Coachella's first weekend came to a close late last night and as usual, it brought with it a ton of new, unreleased music from some very big artists. While most of what we got to hear sounded great (most notably, Kaskade's new song that he closed his set with), a couple of the tracks that were premiered failed to impress.

Perhaps the biggest bomb of all was David Guetta‘s collaboration with The Black Eyed Peas, titled “This Is Awesome.” Though the two artists gave us the smash hit, “I Got A Feeling,” back in 2009, their latest effort together is quite frankly, terrible. With a generic instrumental track and grating lyrics, the song is just painful on the ears and I think it’s safe to say that it won’t be receiving the same love as their last collaboration did.

On a related note, Guetta revealed in a recent interview with AskMen that he will be producing the group’s next album. All we can say is that we hope this new track isn’t any indication of the disc’s quality as a whole. That being said, we’re still willing to give both artists the benefit of the doubt, and wait until an official version of “This Is Awesome” is dropped to make our final judgement. However, we can’t say that we’re too impressed right now.

Give the new track a listen for yourself though and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
