It’s a sad day indeed for southeastern fans of deadmau5 – as well as those of the artists signed to his record label, mau5trap. The organizers of the Mau5hax bus tour have been forced to cancel three dates of the tour due to unforeseen illness contracted by some of its headliners.
Word first surfaced that the Friday, March 11th tour date in Orlando, Florida would no longer take place when mau5trap staff issued the following statement:
“It comes with great disappointment that due to illness contracted by the mau5trap artists while touring together, we are forced to cancel Friday’s Mau5hax tour date in Orlando. At the present time, there are no plans for a rescheduled show.
We will automatically be issuing refunds through Eventbrite and Ticket King starting March 10th. For all other ticketing outlets, please return to your point of purchase for a refund. Once again we are very sorry to all the fans for the unforeseen circumstances. We at HTG Events and Gilt hope and wish a swift recovery to the artists who have fallen ill.”
After the initial announcement, however, it came to light that the Tampa and Atlanta stops on the tour would have to be cancelled as well.
Each stop of the Mau5hax bus tour features performances by ATTLAS, Matt Lang, Rezz, Steve Duda and deadmau5 himself. We Got This Covered wishes them all a speedy recovery, as whatever illness has befallen them appears to be more severe than just a common cold.
