Sometimes you think an artist you like is gonna start to suck, but then they turn around and wow you again.
It’s been a long while since deadmau5 and Kaskade went in on a track. The two progressive house icons collaborated on “I Remember” and “Move For Me,” both of which came out on the latter artist’s Strobelite Seduction in 2008, and their newest track together, “Beneath With Me” sounds comparable to those seminal tracks in its creative approach. Seeing as how we blasted Kaskade for jumping on the future house bandwagon not too long ago, maybe a little ‘Mau5 is just what the doctor ordered.
The preview only showcases a couple elements of the song: a soft, diffused synth melody and melancholy vocals by Skylar Grey – another decorated Kaskade collaborator. Deadmau5 released it shortly after a driving progressive house track mysteriously entitled “BLOOD FOR THE BLOODGOAT” with a far less macabre sound than its title might suggest, but considering that Kaskade has a full-length album in the works, the track could wind up on there as well. Wherever it might pop up, we eagerly await the fruits two artists’ long-awaited creative reunion.
