It looks like Disclosure and Sam Smith are going to have a nice, long future together. In addition to recent collaborations, the Surrey, England brothers linked up with the singer on a live cover of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” as part of BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge series, and the resulting performance has been turning some heads.
With the Lawrence brothers on a drum kit and keyboard and Smith on vocals, “Hotline Bling” saw itself reimagined as a soulful house number. In the video, Smith proves himself a capable singer whether he’s inside or outside the studio, and Disclosure remind their audience that they’re much more than just glorified button pushers.
Additionally, Smith’s vocals will be featured on yet another Disclosure track, “Spectre,” which will be the theme for the upcoming James Bond film.
