Swiss producer EDX dropped a new preview today for his upcoming single “My Friend,” giving fans the first taste of the deep house cut ahead of its release next month.
The preview for “My Friend” runs just over a minute in length and gives us a good idea of what to expect from the forthcoming single. Subdued synth chords and catchy vocals open the tune, as EDX slowly weaves in upbeat percussion elements that lead us into the drop. A tom roll sends “My Friend” into a dance frenzy as glossy synths carve out an enticing rhythm against a solid house beat and deep bass hits.
Between traveling the world with a constant slew of DJ gigs and curating his well received No Xcuses radio show, it’s amazing that EDX has time to continually deliver solid new releases, but he manages to pull it all off in stride.
“My Friend” will be released on August 29 via Spinnin’ Records.
