Electric Daisy Carnival is already one of the best known festival brands in the world, serving as a major draw in the live music scene each year with its flagship event in Las Vegas, as well as a number of other locations throughout the US like California, Florida and New York.

While EDC has previously established an international identity with events in the UK, Japan, Brazil and Mexico, Insomniac is now setting their sights on India as they announce their intention to bring a chapter of the esteemed festival to the Asian country.

India’s dance music scene has been steadily gaining momentum in recent years, and Insomniac hopes to capitalize on the growing scene with the latest addition to the EDC brand. EDC India will debut in Delhi on November 12-13, and is sure to be the biggest EDM event to take over the country to date.

Speaking with Huffington Post India, Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella expressed his excitement bringing Electric Daisy Carnival to India.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by the country’s colorful and exotic culture…I know it’s a place where the magic of EDC can come alive in a truly unique way.

It’s still early days, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as more news on the upcoming event develops.
