Elephante Brings On Bishøp For The Big Vocal In “Closer”

Elephante has hit the ground running with some truly innovative productions so far this festival season. The L.A.-based DJ/producer wowed us with the bass-heavy "Black Ivory" last month, and he's taken a more festival-friendly approach with his latest track, "Closer" featuring Bishøp.

Elephante has hit the ground running with some truly innovative productions so far this festival season. The L.A.-based DJ/producer wowed us with the bass-heavy “Black Ivory” last month, and he’s taken a more festival-friendly approach with his latest track, “Closer” featuring Bishøp.

However, that would imply that “Closer” is a by-the-numbers progressive house tune, when in fact, there’s a lot going on in there – from the vintage organ sample to the unconventional synth work – that sets it apart from the rest.

What really makes the track shine is Bishøp’s serene vocal contribution, though. The Portland-based vocalist might find herself involved with a great deal more projects if what she delivered for her Elephante collaboration is any indicator.
