Eric Prydz And deadmau5 Are Finally In The Studio Together

If the prospect of a collaboration between Eric Prydz and deadmau5 doesn't fill you with the glee of a child looking at presents under a Christmas tree, you probably just don't really understand electronic music. It's been the better part of a year since the two artists opened a dialogue about it on Twitter, and they've taken to social media once more to all but reveal that they're finally following through.

If the prospect of a collaboration between Eric Prydz and deadmau5 doesn’t fill you with the glee of a child looking at presents under a Christmas tree, you probably just don’t really understand electronic music. It’s been the better part of a year since the two artists opened a dialogue about it on Twitter, and they’ve taken to social media once more to all but confirm that they’re finally following through.

Prydz and deadmau5 made an Instagram post and two Tweets regarding their meeting this weekend. Seeing as how they took three different opportunities to make sure their fans knew they were linking up, they definitely aren’t avoiding any buzz about working together.

Oh.

…I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s almost equally excited just to learn that Eric Prydz is also cat person. The cat in Prydz’ video Tweet is deadmau5′ own Miss Nyan Cat, and you can see his recently finished home studio in the background.

While the two progressive house icons will also perform a back-to-back set at this year’s edition of Tomorrowland Belgium, which would unquestionably require them to meet up and work on edits, deadmau5 mentioned in a recent interview that they would be renting out a studio in Brussels for the two weeks leading up to the set. As such, it’s almost certain that they devoted their recent session to something entirely separate.

In any event, we can only hope that that’s the case, and we’ll surely discover the purpose of Eric Prydz and deadmau5′ recent meeting in the coming weeks.
