It’s always great to see new names emerge on the EDM radar, although this name in particular has actually already been associated with one of history’s greatest artists. As of right now, little more is known about Cannes DJ/producer Florian Picasso than the fact that he’s the great grandson of famous abstract painter Pablo Picasso – but at least now we have “Origami.”
Released through Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings imprint, the instrumental progressive house track features intelligently arranged synth melody hooks that make it instantly memorable. Bouncy synths blend seamlessly into a euphoric hoover stack, cutting out altogether working up to another glorious peak.
Nicky Romero already debuted the track way ahead of its release at Ultra Music Festival in March where it was met with overwhelmingly positive crowd reactions. We’d definitely like to see more “Origami” came from, and look forward to hearing more from this rising talent.
Listen to Florian Picasso‘s “Origami” above and tell us, what kind of support do you think it’ll receive from big DJs as festival season draws to a close? Sound off below!
