Earlier today, the legendary Gareth Emery took to Instagram to reveal this his upcoming album, 100 Reasons to Live, is now available to pre-order. And to celebrate the occasion, the producer dropped a new single titled “Reckless.”
Fitting comfortably into the progressive trance category, which a lot of his last album, Drive, fell under, the vocal-driven track is a powerful piece of music, featuring emotional voice work from Wayward Daughter and an electrifying chord progression. Put that together with Emery’s talent for crafting gorgeous melodies and you have what is undeniably one of the DJ’s best songs in a while.
As the lead single off 100 Reasons to Live, there’s no doubt that “Reckless” is going to strike a chord with a lot of people, and if the song is any indication of what we should expect from the full album, then I think that we’re in for a real treat.
