Hardwell’s Remix Of Alan Walker’s “Faded” Picks Up The Pace

As per usual, Hardwell's been a releasing machine so far in 2016. After teaming up with Portuguese progressive house artist Kura on last week's "Calavera," he's already put out a remix of Alan Walker's late 2015 release, "Faded."

As per usual, Hardwell‘s been a releasing machine so far in 2016. After teaming up with Portuguese progressive house artist Kura on last week’s “Calavera,” he’s already put out a remix of Alan Walker’s late 2015 release, “Faded.”

As can be expected, Hardwell’s remix of “Faded” follows a markedly higher tempo than the original. A festival-friendly hoover synth stack melody at the drop fits it for the main stage, but Iselin Solheim’s melancholy vocals remains front and center.

While the remix isn’t likely to shake the electronic music world to its core by challenging everything we know about what a song can be, it’s actually more engaging than a lot of what Hardwell puts out. It won’t take a lot for the remix to find its way into countless DJ sets over the course of festival season.

Until it does, though, listen to Hardwell‘s remix of Alan Walker’s “Faded” in the YouTube player above and drop a comment letting us know what you think.
