Illenium’s remix features a new chord progression layered beneath Tove Lo’s recognizable vocal hooks. The drops feature a staggered future bass style rhythm, with booming sub kicks and fluttering synth chords. It’s not a major departure from the original, but it’s always interesting to hear a remix that attempts to switch up the musical structure from the original.
