Earlier this week, we learned that the New York edition of Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival has been cancelled for 2017. While that wasn’t the brightest of news, the major festival brand has left us with a silver lining as they officially announce the first round of details for EDC Japan‘s inaugural event next year.

The upcoming festival will serve as the first of its kind in Japan and is scheduled to kick off April 29-30, 2017 at the Zozo Marine Stadium and Makuhari Beach. Early bird tickets go live tonight at 7pm PT and will be available until December 9 at 11pm PT. These will of course go fast, so if you’re planning to make it out to the land of the rising sun next Spring, make sure to hurry up and grab your passes here.

Insomniac has had great success with bringing their biggest festival into the global market in the past, and we expect EDC Japan will be no different. This will represent EDC’s fifth international outing to date, and it’s definitely a major win for Japanese dance music fans.

Further information about the general pre-sale will be revealed shortly, so stay tuned.
