Jauz Previews DnB Remix Of Porter Robinson’s “Language”

It's been four years since Porter Robinson debuted his single "Language" back in 2012, a tune that heralded a shift in sound from his earlier complextro work to more dreamy material like Worlds. While Worlds went on to become an instant classic, Robinson's 2012 progressive house anthem is still a highlight in his catalog and stands strong to this day.

It’s been four years since Porter Robinson debuted his single “Language” back in 2012, a tune that heralded a shift in sound from his earlier complextro work to more dreamy material like Worlds. While Worlds went on to become an instant classic, Robinson’s 2012 progressive house anthem is still a highlight in his catalog and stands strong to this day.

Bass music’s latest rising star Jauz tested out a remix of “Language” during his set from Mad Decent Block Party at Denver’s iconic Red Rocks venue over the weekend, offering up a refresher for the beloved classic.

For his remix, Jauz has taken “Language” into unexpected territory as he explores a liquid drum and bass production. The video starts off with the familiar synth patterns from Porter Robinson’s original version but sped up to fit the rapid tempos of DnB, before a filter swept build up leads us into breakbeat driven drops.

Jauz hints at an official release of his “Language” remix on the video caption, stating “maybe something new I’m working on…” We’ll keep our fingers crossed that we’ll get to hear the full version in the near future.
