What’s that noise? Oh nothing, just the sound of our childhoods exploding with joy. Justin Timberlake is down for a collaboration with Britney Spears, according to his reaction when asked the question at Toronto International Film Festival. While at the festival for the premiere of his Netflix documentary, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids, Timberlake gave an emphatic “Sure!” after he was told Spears would want to work with him, too.

Some context: Spears did a Q&A session on Most Requested Live with Romeo, and one of the questions she responded to was who she’d want to collaborate with the most. She had some interesting potential collabs, including Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, Gwen Stefani, and of course, Justin. “Justin Timberlake is very good,” Spears said in the video. A bit of an understatement?

It feels like it was yesterday that Britney and Justin were both controlling the pop stratosphere, and ironically enough, both of them are still at the top of their game. They’ve actually collaborated together in the past, as Timberlake co-wrote “What It’s Like To Be Me” off Spears’ 2001 album, Britney – but it’s safe to say that a collaboration now would be much, much different, and way better, too.

Justin Timberlake said in the short interview that he’s “accessible” and told Spears to “give us call.” Your move now, B. However, Britney Spears might be a little busy with her own music, as she just dropped her recent number three charting album, Glory, but our ears will be definitely be open for a collaboration in the future.
