Kaskade’s Remix Of Where Are Ü Now Mixes Bad With More Bad

In all honesty, I'm getting tired of tearing apart everything Kaskade's put out in the last several months. I wish he'd just start making halfway-decent music again so I could stop, but his take on the whole future house fad sounds so contrived that I have to perform my duty as a music journalist and warn you about it before you press play on that SoundCloud embed up there.

In all honesty, I’m getting tired of tearing apart everything Kaskade‘s put out in the last several months. I wish he’d just start making halfway-decent music again so I could stop, but his take on the whole future house fad has proven so contrived that I have to perform my duty as a music journalist and warn you about it before you press play on that SoundCloud embed up there.

Seriously, this song got all the way through the chorus and I thought I was out of the woods. I thought he’d abandoned those god-awful organ bass lines that he’s been experimenting with, but right then I heard one start to creep in – and it might as well have been the same exact track as his last three releases.

And let’s be real, how many more times does everyone really need to remix “Where Are Ü Now” at this point anyways? Even the music fans who are supposed to be too young to know any better can sense that Skrillex and Diplo are just phoning it in at this point, and throwing Justin Bieber of all people into the mix only reinforces that the entire project was purely a business move.

I can’t be the only one who wants the old Kaskade back, right? If you’re tired of his recent future house catastrophes, tell us about it in the comments section below.
