The Chainsmokers have been having a phenomenal year and it looks like nothing can stop the dance music crossover duo from dominating the game right now. Following up on massive singles like “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Closer” with Halsey, the guys are back to release a new single with their label mate and indie pop vocalist Phoebe Ryan. A teaser of the new single had previously been heard on Tuesday, but now the full version of “All We Know” has been premiered on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio show and has hit the internet for streaming.
Stylistically, “All We Know” follows in the same vein of previous efforts like “Roses” and “Closer,” with bittersweet pop verses juxtaposed alongside fluttery future bass drops. A gentle string melody kicks the new song off before an artificial tom fill signals in the first verse, as Phoebe Ryan’s breathy vocals enter the mix. Moving past the verses, The Chainsmokers introduce rhythmic synth chords over uplifting hip hop style beats.
With the release of their latest single, The Chainsmokers have cemented their now signature style as a guaranteed formula for chart topping success, and only time will tell how high the new song will fly compared to their other recent hits.
“All We Know” is available now and can be purchased here.
