After weeks of rumors and teases, Little Mix is finally back. The pop group responsible for churning out bops like “Hair” and “Black Magic” will be unleashing the first track from a new era, titled “Shout Out To My Ex,” which is going to be performed live when the girls debut it on the UK version of The X Factor on October 16th.

Not much is confirmed about what the single is going to sound like, but lyrics from the track make it look like it’s going to be a new break-up anthem for a scorned lover. With lines like “Guess I should say thank you/For the ‘hate yous’ and the tattoos,” it seems like Little Mix are dishing out the shade hard, and many believe the song is written about Zayn Malik, who Little Mix star Perrie Edwards dated until late last year.

Additionally, the girls talked about what to expect from their new album and the fact that it’s going to sound more like their previous record, Get Weird, as opposed to past albums like DNA or Salute. With the potential for a Get Weird-inspired lead single about getting over an ex, it sounds like the group has all the ingredients for a hit.

Be sure to stay tuned for more as Little Mix will most likely be taking the single stateside when they join Ariana Grande on her headlining tour next year.
