Lord Finesse announced in an interview with Unkut that he will be teaming up with fellow D.I.T.C. member O.C. and another veteran New York producer/emcee Large Professor to form a group called The Alumni. They will be releasing an album sometime this year although no further information was provided.
Lord Finesse is most known as the leader of the Diggin’ In The Crates crew in the 90’s with O.C., Big L, Fat Joe, Showbiz, A.G., Buckwild, and Diamond D and being closely affiliated with each of them as solo artists. Large Professor is best known as the founder of the rap group Main Source as well as discovering Nas and giving him his first recorded verse on the classic Live at the Barbeque track. Large Pro was also heavily involved with Nas’ debut album ‘Illmatic’ and produced three songs on the pivotal album.
