Miguel Covers Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” For Fifty Shades Darker

If anyone has the ability to get people more crazy in love, it’s got to be Miguel. The R&B singer/songwriter is the master of jams to get you in the mood, so it’s only fitting that he’s contributing a song to Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey.

Beyonce originally created a new version of “Crazy In Love” for Fifty Shades of Grey, putting a slowed-down and methodical twist on the early 2000’s classic. Miguel takes a similar approach with his remix in the new trailer above, and judging from the brief clip we hear throughout, it’s got a mellow, almost haunting feel to it, and it’ll be interesting to hear what it sounds like in its entirety.

If “Crazy In Love” becomes the trend now for the planned next installment, Fifty Shades Freed, there are a number of artists who could take the reins on the song and give it that eerie, laid back feel, like The Weeknd, or maybe even Frank Ocean.

Fifty Shades Darker is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on February 10th. Since the soundtrack to Fifty Shades of Grey was announced in January before the film’s February release, there’s a good chance that we’ll see who else will be joining Miguel on the Darker soundtrack by then, too.
