Though Mija is primarily known for her skills in the DJ booth, the OWSLA darling has dropped a number of releases over the last year that have seen her refining her production prowess. Skrillex’s favorite curator has put forth a number of remixes in 2016, taking on Massive Attack’s “Paradise Circus” and DJ Snake’s “Middle,” and now she’s back with a fresh take on A-Trak and Tommy Trash’s “Losing My Mind.”
Mija’s “Lose My Mind” remix isn’t a radical departure from the original cut, though she does push the tempo up a bit to deliver a more fast paced take on the track. The funky synth leads still dominate the song over driving house beats, as Mija indulges the fever with plenty of cowbell.
All in all, the remix keeps the french house vibes strong with offbeat bass hits and groovy vocal chops, offering up a sturdy and impressive flip of the original single.
