Finally, somebody made headphones for the days when music alone can’t bring you out of a funk. The NERVANA Generator and NERVANA Headphones comprise new system by which state-of-the-art nerve stimulation technology can alter your mood while you listen to your favorite music.
According to the product website, it uses cutting edge technology to stimulate your vagus nerve, which floods your brain with the neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin. The NERVANA Generator plugs into any sound source via a headphone jack, and the NERVANA Headphones feature a central signal-processing circuit that transmit both the stimuli and music and route them accordingly to earbuds.
After trying out the product, one tester gave the following glowing testimonial:
I felt the electricity go into my arm, and everything was tingling there, but the best moment for me was afterwards when I finished and stood up. I felt like I reached a personal high point. I couldn’t stop smiling or laughing. I was like, ‘Oh wow.’ For about five minutes, my happiness level was a 10 out of 10. Then it got foggier, but I was still unusually happy for about an hour.
As of this writing, the whole NERVANA system is priced at $299 and pre-order opens up in March.
