Nicky Romero has previewed a new single this week, dropping a teaser for the upcoming track “Ready 2 Rumble” on SoundCloud. The upcoming effort is slated for release later this month and sees the producer taking influence from the early days of electronic dance music.
On “Ready 2 Rumble,” Nicky Romero revives some influence from the classic dance genre of acid house, placing the signature squelchy bass sounds unique to the style front and center in the mix. Old school vibes are plentiful in the preview, and the upcoming single utilizes a classic “Let’s get ready to rumble” announcer sample leading into the bass heavy drops.
The preview only lasts about a minute, but “Ready 2 Rumble” is ready to take over the clubs this summer with its huge sound and classic approach. The forthcoming single will be released July 22 on Nicky Romero‘s imprint Protocol Recordings and you can grab the pre-order right here.
