OWSLA Favorites Mija And Vindata Join Forces On “Better”

As prolific as Skrillex may already be so far in 2016, some signees to his OWSLA record label have a little catching up to do. Los Angeles based DJ/producers Mija and Vindata appear eager to make up for lost time, however, because they've released a collaboration titled "Better" that's hard not to love.

Given how prolific Skrillex has already been so far in 2016, some of his OWSLA record label signees have a little catching up to do. Los Angeles based DJ/producers Mija and Vindata appear eager to make up for lost time, however, because they’ve released a brand new collaboration titled “Better” that’s hard not to love.

Future bass is definitely turning out to be one of the emerging post-EDM trends in 2016, and while “Better” doesn’t travel far outside the confines of the genre it still makes for a respectable execution of its formula. The shimmering synth melody is punctuated every so often with an effervescent sprinkling of high notes, and a pitched-up vocal sample reminds you that “it keeps on getting better.”

Being that “Better” is both Mija and Vindata’s first original song of 2016, hopefully we can expect more from each artist now that they’ve broken the seal. For the time being, however, we’re definitely pleased with what they’ve put out here and it will no doubt keep us going until they release more.
