Watermät, Spinnin Deep’s illustrious house star, has just teased a preview of his new single “Empire.” Pete Tong played the snippet Friday night on BBC Radio 1 to massive acclaim, and the clip has already garnered nearly 100k plays on SoundCloud in only 3 days.
Continuing along with the French producer’s theme of voluptuous leads, “Empire” sports a wavering synth line underneath its vibrant, retro-styled melodies. Though this new track takes it in a slightly different direction, there’s a bit of nostalgia present from his massive single “Bullit,” with its enormous horn oscillations.
Overall, it’s another quality production from Watermät, and we can’t wait to hear the full track after its official release on March 7th via Spinnin’ Deep.
