The track is similar to other pop friendly EDM tunes, delivering a tropical tinged production with plucked chords and light percussion as the backdrop for some catchy female vocal toplines. Moving past the subdued verses, Showtek craft a future bass drop with start-stop rhythms, 8bit arpeggios and splashing synth chords. The song has an intoxicating sound that wouldn’t be out of place among hits by The Chainsmokers and Major Lazer.

With catchy vocal hooks and in-vogue production values, Showtek‘s new ID sees the duo progressing their sound and delivering a solid single along the way. We’ve already seen the Dutch DJs phase through hardstyle and big room in the past, and the new direction is a logical next step. We’re not sure when the ID will get released, but we’ll certainly be looking forward to it.
