Steve Angello Ditches LIFE For OMNIA

When you've made the kind of name for yourself in EDM that Steve Angello has, it's hard to stay put. It wasn't a year ago that the former one third of now-defunct progressive house supergroup Swedish House Mafia announced that he would begin a two-year residency at LIFE at the SLS Hotel in Las Vegas, but he's already left for greener pastures - and the pastures don't get a whole lot greener than Omnia Nightclub at Caesar's Palace.

When you’ve made the kind of name for yourself in EDM that Steve Angello has, it’s hard to stay put. It was barely a year ago that the former one third of now-defunct progressive house supergroup Swedish House Mafia announced that he would begin a two-year residency at LIFE at the SLS Hotel in Las Vegas, but he’s already left for greener pastures – and the pastures don’t get a whole lot greener than Omnia Nightclub at Caesar’s Palace.

Having opened a matter of months ago, OMNIA Nightclub in Las Vegas is the brainchild of the Hakkasan Group (the parent company of Hakkasan Nightclub), which may prove to give XS Nightclub (at the Encore) a run for its spot as the #1 highest grossing nightclub in the world for three years running. To that end, OMNIA’s talent buyers have loaded up its time slots with a wealth of big-name talent; Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix and Oliver Heldens accompany several other world-class artists atop its lineups.

Considering the recent success of Angello’s recent release, “Children of the Wild,” he makes for a prime pick as the latest to join their ranks. However, little information has surfaced regarding whether the break in contract was handled amicably or if fallout will ensue.

As always, we’ll keep you posted as more news arises.
