There’s something to be said for a solid hit, and the latest from the Axwell /\ Ingrosso camp is exactly that. The Swedish duo has released “Sun Is Shining” along with an official music video, and we can only imagine it seeing worldwide success.
The real question is where won’t you hear “Sun Is Shining” over the remainder of the festival season. The song has literally all the components of a chart topper: a strong vocal set against an instrumental intro, uplifting lyrics and a euphoric synth lead guaranteed to make the crowd in front of an entire festival main stage jump up and down in unison.
Obviously, its riskless execution won’t appeal to the palate of any underground music fan, but none of them would be caught dead listening to the former Swedish House Mafia members after certain comments they made anyways.
As for the track’s official music video, it’s a product of concentrated mass appeal and depicts a fantastic phenomenon enveloping a picturesque city before the duo themselves make a brief cameo near the last drop.
